About the event
“ Monologue of the stargazing whale ” Another key piece addressing environmental change is showcased at Gir Bar, titled Monologue of the Stargazing Whale. This artwork confronts the harsh reality of ocean pollution, using litter as its central theme. It envisions a whale beneath the vast sky, engaging in a silent conversation that mirrors the human gaze upon a starlit horizon—both perspectives marred by the recklessness of human actions.
The creators invite viewers to reflect on the unsettling parallel between the polluted ocean and our romanticized vision of the stars. The installation is further elevated with ambient sound—whale vibrations—creating a frequency that shifts in sync with the changing conversation, echoing the fleeting moments of stargazing.
